Modern Policy Review

Write for us

We welcome pitches that help general readers understand a specific part of public policy, from a design choice to the practical steps between a decision and delivery.

What makes a strong pitch

Start with one clear question and say what a reader will understand by the end. Explain the central idea in plain language, identify the scope, and show how the piece will distinguish a policy aim from its methods or delivery. A useful pitch is specific enough to have a shape, without depending on unsupported claims or insider access.

A good fit

We are interested in explainers, comparisons, policy histories and careful examinations of implementation or evaluation. Keep proposals focused on public policy literacy rather than advocacy, individual professional advice or a broad survey that cannot be handled with care.

How to send a proposal

Use the Contact page and select the editorial question option, then include a working title, a short outline, the intended reader and a brief description of your relevant perspective. Please send a proposal rather than a completed article; we will consider whether its scope fits the publication.
